Drip irrigation

When saline water is used in combination with drip irrigation, each soil layer receives an amount of salt which is in proportion to the amount of irrigation water allocated to each soil layer. Thus, the drip irrigation salt deposition rate, qCldripin(z), is equal to:

                                         (2.56)

where idriprate is the irrigation rate for drip irrigation and cClirrig is the concentration of salts in the irrigation water, which can either be given as a parameter or can be read from a PG-file (see switch IrrigConcInput).
